I have been passionate about photography since I bought a 35mm camera when I was 12 and I have been processing and printing my own black and white film since then, but in these days I mostly use digital equipment.
Since 2008 I’ve been taking production stills on films and television dramas in Melbourne; the art of telling the story of a scene in a single frame, which is a challenge at the best of times, led me to create images.
In 2014 I was invited by the curators of the National Portrait Gallery of Australia to be part of an exhibition. My work was included in PROMO – Portraits from Prime Time with nineteen prints on the walls and over 50 in a slide show.
In 2015 I exhibited 100 of my photographs at The Owl and Cat Theatre in Richmond as an installation titled Truth And Dare.
In my personal work I draw inspiration from people, their relationships, their personalities, their passions and their desires.
I strip as much content as I can from an image until I am left with the essence, the least I need to tell the story of a moment.
